Our Mission


The Mission and Objective of the Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Association shall be to teach and promote the teachings of missions in the local churches; to promote the union and preserve the purity of local churches by giving counsel to them; to sustain missions in destitute places; to encourage the work of Christian Education, temperance, secondary education and to give scholarship aide to worthy young adult men and women in the member churches of the association in accordance with the Homer E. Smith application and signed by the Pastor; and to promote the Master’s Kingdom on Earth.


This Association shall help foster any educational movement that may be in operation.

MEMBERSHIP


Any new or established church whose constitution is regular and whose articles of faith are in harmony with the Association shall enroll for and maintain membership to the Association by submitting the current registration fees as stated on the Church Letter for each major event. Each church shall register annually with the Association by submitting funds and the Church Letter at the three (3) major events: Mission Institute, Congress of Christian Education and the Annual Session. Church participation for the Annual Women’s Department Honors Banquet, the Osa Elder/Estoria Johnson Musical and the Youth King & Queen musical as well as any officially sponsored events of the Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Association must be evident with financial representation from each church to obtain eligibility for the Annual Scholarship Awards.

Young Women's Department Walk-A-Mile-For-A-Child - 2nd Saturday in September

Osa Elder/Estoria Johnson Musical – Friday before the 3rd Sunday in September


Annual Session – Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday before the 4th Sunday in October


Awards Banquet – 1st Saturday in November
